Berwick - Matt Pe. was able to fend off the husband/wife combo of Lolly and Jim O. to capture his first victory of the season while Pat M. cashes in his 2nd straight tournament. Congratulations to our top 4 finishers.
The night began and ended at the Berwick residence with Matt Pe. showing up fashionably late by over 30 minutes possibly by design to win the tournament. Not far into the event it was Erik M. first to rebuy and then once more busting out to be the first one out of the tournament in DEAD LAST! Erik M. was later found drinking and tearing up the cash game in a chattering fashion. The next victim busted out and wanted to rebuy after the start of the 4th blind level. John M. was very disappointed to find out this was against the rules and had to spend the rest of the night dealing until the cash game started. Next to leave the tournament was Jim H., Sean O., Mike T., and Bill B. in that order.
Out in 14th was Nick G. when his preflop all in was called with only a few chips more by Jim O. With neither pairing, it wasn't until after the turn that Jim O. proclaimed "Queen me" and the magical women showed her face to pull out the miracle 3 outer and end Nick G.'s night. Jeff R., Keith K., Eric Wej., and Jim S. were the next to end their night.
The final table was formed and Jason Tr. further strengthened his prop bet between Anita G., Nick G., Eric Wej., and Bill B. yet was the tables first upset. Jason Tr. similar to Nick G. was able to get all his money in good preflop with pocket aces and was called by Jim O.'s ironic pocket kings. This time Jim O. pulled out the "king me" after the turn to pull out the miracle 2 outer king on the river and devastate Jason Tr.
Chris S. and Jason Ta. were the next ones out leaving Anita G. out next after a "happy" tournament jumping to the number 8 position. Angie S. was S2E10's bubble boy after previously being the nights only other rebuy other than Erik M. Congrats to her for finishing deap after rebuying.
As stated previously, Pat M. puts on another solid performance cashing in his second straight tournament putting him closer to the top 8 and the tournament of champions with this 4th place finish. With two O.'s and only one Pe. the odds were against him, but unfortunately the O.'s are not ones to play each other softly and despite his persuasive talking to the cards Jim O. settled the night in 3rd place. Lolly O. not much further behind him could not defeat S2E10's champion Matt Pe. with his final hand of the night being pocket kings. The night ended early with over 10 minutes left in the $5K-$10K level.

"April 8" Update:
The stage is set for a very dramatic finish...
Jason Tr. continues to hold his strong lead of first place with 53.38 pts and his position to take home the Player Of the Year trophy, but still within striking position in 2nd place is Nick G. with 43.88 pts. Remaining his position for 3rd place is Jim S. with 42.37 pts despite missing most of the season. Jason Ta., Eric Wej., Jim H. and Sean O. all remain in the top 8. Anita G. finds a way to sneak into 8th place with 32.35 pts ousting John M., but will be highly contested going into S2E11, the final tournament. Within contention for the top 8 are players 9-17 with 9th being Matt Pe. after coming off his win and 31.67 pts. Even 17th place held by Chris S. with 23.94 pts could sneak into 8th with a victory in S2E11. Fighting to make it into the qualifier is the always dangerous Bill B. and Keith K. There is no doubt about it; the possibility of a changing landscape is there.
